Samson Electric Wire Co. Ltd. was founded by Sam Chan, who started the business in 1976. Since then, the company has continued to grow steadily, and now has 400 workers and its own plant in Shenzhen, China.

Today, the company produces an impressive range of products. In addition to a wide variety of wires and cables, it also produces electrical, AV, telecom, car and connector accessories, such as plugs, adapters and extension leads, to name a few.

The company’s products have been deployed in many high-profile civil engineering projects in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong International Airport, Kowloon-Canton Railway, Mass Transit Railway and Cross Harbour Tunnel etc. The company’s overseas business also includes customers in Japan, the UK, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia, many of whom have been loyal customers of Samson Electric Wires from the start and who continue to value the company’s quality, reliability, flexibility and integrity.

While most cable manufacturers are limited to the production of one or two basic products, we produce a comprehensive spectrum of wires, cables and accessories, including:
LAN cables, coaxial cables, telephone cables, multi-core cables, composite cables, traffic signal cables, alarm cables, TV cables, audio cables, power cords, equipment wires and much more.

Specialised high-end products
Our sophisticated production facilities include state-of-the-art equipment for the creation of specialised products, such as jelly-filled cables for protection against pests and water corrosion, armoured cables for underground use, extra-flexible signal cables for use in lift shafts, and cables that are fire-resistant for up to three hours.

End-to-end capabilities
To ensure the highest standards of quality and availability, all the parts that make up our cables are made in-house, including conductors, insulators and sheaths, as well as wrapping, twisting, shielding, braiding and armouring, regardless of whether these are metal, LSHF, vinyl, polyethylene or ECO, or require customised moulding and tooling. We are also able to handle projects to meet any specific requirements, from design, testing and manufacturing through to packaging.

Samson Electric Wire places the highest priority on the quality of its products. All production procedures are ISO 9001:2008 compliant.

In addition to vigilant quality controls at every stage of the production process, we have also invested heavily in a fully-equipped One-Stop Testing Centre with imported equipment to test the physical and electrical qualities of all products.

The company insists on the use of the highest quality copper (99.99%), and our products meet all major International Standards, including UL, CSA, BSI, NSAI, VDE, Nembko, Semko, Demko and Fimko as well as Japan/JIS and the coming important RoHS, as required by our world-renowned customers.
